Whale Elegance mixer tap repair
Posted this elsewhere so will post here as well, i have a Whale Elegance mixer tap which started to drip and then became a trickle. This in turn fired the pump up when the pressure dropped and the never ending cycle begins. Well unless you turned the pump off or run out of water.
Cost of a new tap between £45 and £50 and with this one being 25 year old i was prepared to buy one however after reading up on how to replace the seals and washers i decided to buy a service kit first, hopefully i wouldn't break anything taking it all apart.
Cost of the service kit was around £17 posted and for the couple of washers i needed it did seem a bit expensive.
This is the tap with the problem.
Stripped down
The destroyed tap washers causing the problem
The service kit part number AK5030

Probably took a couple of hours to do from start to finish, if i did it again i could probably do it in 30 minutes.
Replaced the visible O Rings whilst i was at it and greased them up, works a treat now and will probably out live the motorhome and me.
